Pros
New home depot filter is merv 12 and is more opaque than the original merv 8 filter. It's a good name and a medium merv rating, meaning it won't tax my system.
Cons
As the furnace * them against the step inside the air return vent, the filter starts to buckle and it opens up a crack between the filter and the return vent. This causes a very annoying whistling noise anytime the furnace runs.

Good sturdy build too and does not sag.
Very good filters fit well,and good quality.
After a just few weeks i replaced it early and the next filter was back to sounding and flowing like normal.
I was using cheapo filters and and my body said stop!

Great price and so much easier than going to the store.
Good value-no issues that i know of.
We were paying $15 for one filter before.
They seems to be decent filters for the price.

The filters came to me fast and fit my furnace perfectly.
They arrived on time, and are exactly what they said they are.
Packaging/appearance
The only thing i could complain about is how big the box they came in was.
These came nicely packages and looks as good as the premium ones.
Yes, the box was labeled merv 8 but the items inside did not have any rating label.
What i received was 6 loose filters in a box almost twice the size needed, that did not fit the filters in any dimension.
Competitiveness
They fit perfectly unlike some store bought ones of the same size.
You can hear how much better the air flow is compared to the "better" filters and it filters much better now that it can breathe.

Its a good name and a medium merv rating meaning it wont tax my system for the higher rating and not filter enough if a lower merv rating

They have an arrow on them that show the way for air flow and a spot that you can write on for when you put it in
