So i just got a new heat pump installed and when it comes to the indoor unit i inquired with the installer what size filter do i need

He pulled up the manual and right there it says 16x20x1 34nominal34 size

After messaging the installer he asked that i measured the washable filter that came with the unit 17

Out of frustration i started to do some google searching and when i went back to the manual even though the nominal size listed was indeed 16x20x1 the included mm size was roughly what the washable filter was so i started to look for 18x20x1 filters with an actual size of nothing wider than 17
