Pros
Many newer houses have these air units requiring slimmer filters, and it becomes puzzling trying to find the proper size of air filter. This type is hard to find, i'm so glad that amazon carries this size in a slim fit.
The filters i purchased are merv8 which is the highest you want to go before losing energy efficiency. The higher merv rating equals more particle filtration but as the filter gets dirty that puts higher stress on the blower motor. I've used nordic fo... Read More
Cons
Size is marked as 20x25x4 but is actually 1/2 inch smaller in each dimension. As you open the packaging it reads “actual “ size almost an inch smaller.
The slot that you slide it into the furnace there is now a gap where it used to fit snug. I am nearly certain with enough furnace cycles i will check and it will have fallen crooked. The air just goes around the filter.
Most filters are 4 3/8”. It's undersized in all dimensions compared to a real 4 thick filter.

These filters slide sideways and fall off the tab on one side

The tabs catch onto the filter on the side preventing it from falling through but it will sit crooked in the unit
