Pros

This nordic ware shortbread pan is perfect in design and manufacture. No flimsy kind of a pan! It cleans up very well.

Produced great buttery shortbread cookies. Wished there were a similar pan that made smaller cookies for a more approachable snack. The imprints are adorable. Made four batches.

This pan is very sturdy. I know it will be a treasured piece of mine for years to come. Not a lot of breakage of the details when taking the shortbread out.

Loved the decorative molding. The pre-scored lines make for consistent pieces when one follows cutting directions.

Used salted butter, so no extra salt. Shake some flour through a fine sieve and bang the pan. If properly oiled or dusted pan, properly pressed and tamped dough, the result is amazing.

Cons

Forget the cookies unless you like huge, thick, tasteless cookies. The beautiful pattern was destroyed.

The cookies were light and looked great with the different imprinted pictures.

Did turn little darker compared to the rest of the cookie but it still looks great.

Competitiveness

I just wish nordic ware would offer another 9" square shortbread pan with different designs (thistles, or celtic knots).
