It is under 5 inches. Smaller than a regular chip clip. Like from bears or something. This norpro clip is only 4.

Heavy, sturdy clips were what i wanted and what i received.

Stainless steel is so much better than plastic.

The good news is that these clips are strong and, being made of stainless steel, they should outlast the pet.

Plastic clamps eventually crack or break, just from everyday use - these won't.

Price

It does however make me carefully consider how many more to get because buying another 2 dozen or something is not exactly cheap!
