Pros

Designs are wonderfully carved. Nicely deep engravings. Takes a beating quite well, although my wife wishes the hand grips were bigger. I get asked about the rocket shape a lot. This matches the antique almost perfectly!

If you have fond memories of the springerle cookies your grandma made, this is your chance to recreate them. Not cut quite as deep as my grandmother's but does a very nice imprint on cookies.

The molds in this rolling pin are generic and can work for any season. The rolling pin is good quility and works for shortbread. Before going out and buying an intricate (and expensive) springele rolling pin--try this one.

Cons

The carving is sloppy. The whole piece needs to be sanded. Poorly finished, crudely carved.
