After seasoning, a beautiful treasure like this pan should be cared for acordingly. Most cast iron comes with a factory seasoning.

Pour vegetable oil (flaxseed is best if you have it) and make sure you rub the entire pan. Scrub it in hot soapy water and immediately dry it with paper towels. No dishwasher, little soap, warm water or cool pan a good scrubber.

The pan is not seasoned and it is made in taiwan. The pan includes a non-toxic coating which is not in the item description. I disliked that the product was broken.
