Highlights
Quality
So well made, will pass down to my children.
This is a well made, sturdy appliance and it functions very easily.
I had no residual pain the next day or carpal tunnel issues from feeling like i had manually opened up 4,000 stubborn pickle jars.
The first cookie and the very last almost never turn out well in their shape.
Price
It’s not a huge deal, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Packaging/appearance
So i wouldn’t buy it as a gift because it really doesn’t look good upon receipt.
The box did come basically falling apart, which was odd to me, but i did notice in some reviews, other people had complained about that .
Competitiveness
Reading reviews of many popular (and less expensive) models it seemed many users were disappointed.
By comparison, former cookie press had a huge barrel but while there’s still dough inside i was less likely to switch the shape.

It was much more ergonomic than my former cookie press which was handed down by my grandmother and had been manufactured in the 1950s however this model’s barrel is pretty small

I was only able to fill 34 a large cookie sheet before the barrel would be empty again and i’d have to reload more dough

If you are too heavyhanded and you don’t like the shape of one cookie you can pick the raw dough and put it back into the extruder next round

Some shapes have thinner edges than others so it’s important to factor that in to baking time and probably not ideal to radically change shapes on the same cookie sheet— i
