Left one of these along with a couple of eggs too long in the pot the water boiled off and i ruined all the eggs including this so had to get a replacement

If you have any extra room in the pan you are using it does have a tendency to flip over and not be readable

You have to bring the temperature of the eggs down as soon as you can to stop them from cooking

I tried to narrow down the perfect amount of time to boil them for but was not getting consistent results

This thing has never steered me wrong and whenever it says the eggs are done they always have been exactly as the timer indicates

When it has said soft boiled thats what ive found and when it says medium or hard it has been correct when ive opened the eggs

As the blackened portion moves in the actual lines indicating the doneness level get harder to spot and read so when it reaches or passes a point you lose that frame of reference
