Pros

Allows keeping butter safely at spreadable temperature without worry of spoilage. The butter is always spreadable but not melted. It is a cute looking butter holder.

The butter belle is an amazing addition to the use of butter. Holds a 1/2 cup of butter and lasts me quite a while. One complaint is that the cupped foot on the lid will collect water.

Cons

Isn't this a nuisance? Maybe it isn’t supposed to. This design is fatally flawed. I'm at a loss to understand what manufacturers think.
