Ive noticed all the reviews about the pasta draining through the vents and its true that does happen however all you have to do is turn the lid so the holes are not in the drain position and the pot will still drain through the lid and you barely lose pasta

First one was damaged beyondsalvation but second pot was first rate merchandise

There is a design flaw in that the lid does not completely seal the pot and a lot of vapor is lost when doing long recipes
