Pros & Cons
Pros
The upright legs allow for easy drainage. The feet help it to sit up higher than my other collander. It also drains well (a must) and has nice handles.
This strainer is excellent. It holds a large volume yet is a compact width.
The holes are a good size to let the water through at a nice pace. It drains water effectively while keeping spaghetti inside. Even thin noodles (vermicelli, etc. Can be drained.
Cons
The glossy steel in the internal part adds some tuckyness to the final look that is worsened by the oblong shape.
Highlights
Quality
I bought this as a gift for under 30 bucks on amazon and was completely blown away by the product quality.
Worth the money if you want a good quality colander.
I have noticed that prices on amazon can fluctuate widely from time to time for the same product.
It should have two handles, not like the one with the single plastic handle that bends as soon as you add the pasta.
Packaging/appearance
Btw, it arrived with no retail packaging, just a sticker on the bottom indicating it was "made in china".
Its metal (which i wanted) but the legs mean all the water you pour in can safely escape down the drain.
Competitiveness
The feet help it to sit up higher than my other collander.
No more water in the bottom of my drainer.
