I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and it is a beautiful marble mortar and pestle the inside is a rougher texture than the outside and unfortunately some dust from the marble gets into whatever you are grinding

I have researched that it is perfectly harmless but it does ruin the asethetic and is very hard to pick out once youve grinded something fine
