These spatulas are a must for flipping eggs. I keep 3 on hand because 1 or 2 are usually in the dishwasher. One was even dented in a few places by my shepherd years ago.

It's not even worth the time to take it someplace to return it. Such a disappointment.

I don't leave these toughing the pan - i flip my eggs and that's it. Melted after first use. Was using it to stir lentils cooking in a nonstick pan and little black strings were melting off.

The old one was likely high quality nylon, this one appears to be non heat resistant polypropylene or some other cheap substitute. Certainly not heat resistant to 500°f as advertised.
