Pros

Great nutcracker. Uses paper towel padding to keep it in place. Works well on walnuts.

Cute and practical. Both functional and cute to be sitting on the shelf. It's so cute that i won't be returning it, though.

It makes a very nice conversation starter. I have a similar one and this one has a taller tail. Still like it. It woks well and looks good and strong.

Cons

Just doesn't work as anything more then a squirrel ornament. Made of a weak metal, so be warned. Very poor design and extremely frail.

The handle is too short to provide enough torque to break into a pecan. The almond shell got caught in the mandible. Useless as a nutcracker.

This nutcracker is adorable, made entirely out of metal, and it looks great in my kitchen.

I put nuts (all types) on their sides with the seams vertical and crack them.

I have been wanting this forever and when i got a giftcard i finally broke down and bought this.

Price

I got a great deal on him (less than half of what they are asking here) and once i discovered how to use properly, have had no problems.

Then they can be opened with your fingers and an inexpensive set of tools will get nuts out in their entirety.
