I remembered that i had a food mill from trying to make the perfect tomato sauce and that worked but it was so big it was awkward to work with for this smaller volume

You have to turn the handle clockwise so the food is going under the blade on the high side and smoothed by the trailing edge if you turn it the other way it just stirs things around
