Pros & Cons
Pros
For the occasional hiker/camper these are tough to beat for the price. They are very comfortable and feel like a sneaker. They're light enough that he wore them all weekend without any discomfort or blisters.
The fit is a little wider than expected, but definitely not a deal breaker. Shoe is lightweight, and comfortable to walk in. The tread is very aggressive and appears durable.
Cons
Garbage collector in nyc so they take a beating. Not many seem to care anymore, so kudos to them. Other than that.
Toe creasing and then cracking open is not a good design. Impossible to lace up and walk around without pain. Crease in shoe over toe while stepping that hurts.
These boots are so long and loose that walking down the street would place you at risk of twisting your ankle. I presume this is how they keep their customer rating as high as it is. Avoid these cheap * boots at all costs.
Highlights
Quality
These boots are well made and a great fit.
Great boots, not to bulky, feels great 10*
I fully expected these boots to “ fail” their inaugural hike and need to be returned.
Many of my previous hikers fell apart as a result of sole adhesives letting go.
Price
Priced good and worked perfectly for what i needed.
Gotta admit, the price was attractive too.
I would pay $120 for these boots.
Actually got them on sale for $47.
Competitiveness
Over the years i’ve worn out many different brands of hiking boots, some, of course, better than others.
Decent support, good traction, no leaks, and overall better than some much bigger name brands i've spent more on.
There is lots of stitching where many competitors are just gluing.
Overall extremely comparable to keen without the high cost, will update if the sole holds up better than the notoriously flimsy keen.
