Pros & Cons
Pros
Nortiv 8 men's hiking shoes lightweight breathable trekking trails shoes. The shoes are very breathable and the value is sky-high. My only issue is that the description of lightweight and breathable hiking shoe doesn't seem accurate. I have a pair of ... Read More
Fit is a little wide on me but appreciate that they give my feet room to swell after hours of walking/standing. I have slightly wider feet (but not so wide that i have to buy extra-wide shoes) and they fit well. The toe area has plenty of space so my ... Read More
We take our reviewing seriously and endeavor to assess quality to the best of our abilities. It's obvious that they've cut a few corners to keep prices down, but they are largely similar in form and function to the premium brands.
It generally takes me a couple of weeks for the shoes and i to come to an accord as they conform to my foot shape. I do hope that they become even more comfortable with time and that the shoe's tongue looses up a bit as it feels too stiff right now.
It's pig skin so it's not quite as durable as cowhide. The material it's made from is just fine and the lug pattern is really great.
Cons
The medium was too big.
Highlights
Quality
Well made shoes, pretty comfortable, running size to size
The rubber outsole has good tread and does seem to provide some good traction on the trail.
Deep treads on outsole make it hard to clean the mud & debris out if you don't have a scraper and/or hose handy.
The insole is made from cheap foam with a scratchy surface and there's not much in the way of interior lining or padding.
Price
Even before the discount i find these to be an exceptional value.
I was impressed with this for the price, it does not appear cheaply made.
These are currently selling for $48 and with an additional discount off of that.
While we pay nothing up front for products, it is counted as taxable income at the retail price.
Shipping
I took them several places in the past week, and they negotiated some uneven terrain just fine, and looked good enough for peop... Read More
Packaging/appearance
Walked 4 miles in them out if the box, truly no break in required.
Competitiveness
Sturdy hiking shoes at a modest price point - an inexpensive alternative to brands like teva and keen.
I’ve taken a picture of them next to a us quarter for scale.
It's obvious that they've cut a few corners to keep prices down, but they are largely similar in form and function to the premium brands.
I have a pair of salomon hiking shoes and these easily compare to salomon.
