Theyre sturdy but comfortable will update after the hiking trip if things go horribly wrong else ill let this ride so i guess if you see this in february with no update theyre good shoes lol

Etc34 to give them an added protectant and they stay looking clean and newer for much much longer

Would not be an issue if you double knot them however then they would be difficult to remove at the end of the work day

I do wish i stuck with just a size 12 and not the 12 wide as they are a bit to wide 34i usually buy wide if there is an option in the past with no issues34
