The soles of the shoes seem beefy enough to give good support, and not add much weight to the shoes. The color of the boots are really nice and they clean very well after use. I was pleasantly surprised!

Cinch down well with the bungee like laces. Laces have fasteners to tighten, which make these great for hiking. I'm not sure the toggle is an improvement, but it's fine too.
