Pros

The norton 24336 dual-side waterstone is an important tool for straight razor aficionados who also want to do their own honing. Was able to turn a 100 yr old straight razor, shave ready in about 2 hrs. Ideal combo stone for razor hone progression.

The stones are easy to use and will sharpen any knife in our drawer. Works fairly well for sharpening knives.

It seems difficult to find a stone wide enough for my liking but this is one! The stories are that this newer production stone is made somewhere different than it used to be. It’s a great stone and very good for beginners to learn on.

A truly outstanding product. Fantastic value for the money. Youtube videos are highly recommended.

The stone comes with its own storage container that doubles as a holder/soaker. After using the flattening stone it becomes exactly what its supposed to be. I use some 400 grit wet sandpaper to even it out and clean up the metal shards that come off w...  Read More

Cons

After 45 minutes of grinding. Meaning grind them on each other) to flatten them out. Both sides are uniformly convex as if they are produced from the factory. I know mistakes happen but things like this show pure laziness.

Quality

I am very happy with the results i am getting.

We've been very pleased with the waterstones and highly recommend them as sharpening tools.

I've had other stones, and they don't have the quality control norton has.

I’m going to hit it with the 320 grit for a few passes but i’m tempted to use it as is.

Shipping

It's perfect for the job and the shipping from the state's was first class.

Packaging/appearance

It was ready to go straight out of the box (no flattening stone needed).

Competitiveness

Noticeably less wear on stone then my shapton 8k but both are 8k give great finish

It is not he top notch but usually it is (significantly) higher quality than its competition although they are not the cheapest ones.
