I have 30+ years in the heirloom quality custom woodwork, what used to be my 1st business- turned into my hobby- after my ra disabled me, i returned to my favorite stress relief now with the time to pursue the art work i love (when i can get limber and pain-free) i have found that when i have the need to smooth or shape species of wood that have crossed or twisted grain (i can't run through my planner due to tear-out),normal sand paper, just will not last- the ceramic grit that norton uses, lasts 3x or longer and provides me with the best surface for the many finishes i use and saves time by cutting faster and lasting longer(i don't have to change paper as often) cutting costs is a high priority, cutting time is also- i can pass these cost savings on to my clientele who always show their thanks when they showoff the finished product .  Read Less
