Pros

Hill introduces a character who keeps a paperweight on their book, and the paperweight is a literal chekhov's gun. Hill keeps the novel refreshing with every chapter and heartpounding up until the final revelation within the last couple pages.

Vic the brat mcqueen is a girl from massachusetts with a gift for finding lost things. Charles talent manx is a vampire from colorado. He takes the children there to christmasland where it's christmas every day.

Cons

The book is overlong and overstuffed. Chapters consisting of half a paragraph. I have no idea how much text is missing.
