Let me say that that flimsy machine survived daily use for 2 years, and my husband makes the best bacon with it.
The secret is to cook the bacon until it's done, then turn off the heat, and let the continue bacon sit in the machine (doors closed).
Once you get the hang of using it any other method just doesn't make such good bacon.
