It wont get a lot of that at my place as guests are infrequent so if it broke sufficient time would have passed and it would be off warranty

Havent used it but got 5 star rating just because of the way it looks and being multipurpose

The only glitch is when the grill is heated for a long period it pops out a bit from its spot

I just made sure when the eggs went on they were away from the edge so the lid would go on to cover them and not in them
