The removeable tier and auger are plastic so i warmed them in the microwave and used paper towels to wipe off as much chocolate as possible then washed in hot soapy water

The unit has a heat only mode separate from the fountain mode so i heated the chocolate wiped with paper towels then cleaned with a soapy damp sponge
