You do have to remove the phone periodically to clean the inside of the case

The thick rubber housing that surrounds the plastic protector that clips around the phone is pretty thick and with everything put together you can tell it will do a good job of protecting the phone from a drop

Its just like an otterbox i had a different case for my phone an didnt want to take it to work because i work around concrete mix sand etc didnt trust it
