Pros & Cons
Pros
It prints well and has almost no stringing at 223 degrees. It also sparkles after it's been printed which looks cool. Really takes care of print clogs.
This is second color and spool of novamaker petg filament i have gotten. Good properties for petg adhesion but really almost translucent and just phenomenal color. I just add a 6” piece whenever doing a filament change and it clears the nozzle out won... Read More
Love the color. Good quality. Like the feel to the touch. No complaint. This stuff is fantastic.
Cons
After 4 clogs and 6 failed prints i gave up. Even after drying it for almost 2 days in my filament dryer, it still bubbles at the hotend.
It looks like the spool is spliced together pieces rather than one continuous filament. Is not 1.
Cleaning filament is an expensive hoax. It is deceiving. This does nothing. It wastes time, wastes money.
Highlights
Quality
In terms of printing parameters, the recommended temperatures (230°c - 250°c for the nozzle and 70°c - 80°c for the bed) worked... Read More
Good quality filament both for thickness and durability.
Once it reaches about 180c, start pushing down on the filament to squish it into the hotend to capture anything left in there.
The filament arrives dried for 24 hours before being vacuum-sealed with desiccants in a nylon bag to prevent moisture absorption.
Price
I would recommend this petg, the transparent green version at least, to anyone looking for easy to print and inexpensive petg.
Packaging/appearance
Thanks for responding to the packaging issue.
I appreciate the attention to detail in the packaging as well.
Competitiveness
My clog was gone after this and it seems to do a better job than when i've used pla or petg in the past.
The price is lower than some of the more mainstream brands, yet the print quality i've gotten from the petg is beyond them.
The novamaker worked with bambu's (arguably too aggressive) stock profile without any additional tuning.
This will be my go to brand for tpu.
