Pros & Cons
Pros
Novamaker is our "go to" for filaments, in particular their tpu. I highly recommend this tpu, as it's not super squishy. I'll gladly accept them to have strong, beautiful parts.
The crystal clear look is really nice and doesn't have any yellow or green tints like some other clear filament i've used. It is translucent (as many petg filaments are), but it really glows under black light.
This stuff seems to scrub the old filament out much quicker. No more having to hand clean out nozzles to keep colors from bleeding together. Runs best at 213 c with 80 c bed temp.
Cons
No blockage. Even though i am 6 months beyond the return window, they let me send it back for a refund! Very disappointed. I'm not the type of person to just bash a product but i feel i should warn people about this one.
Hotend temp of 220-260c leaves brown burnt blobs of plastic. It looks like the spool is spliced together pieces rather than one continuous filament.
Highlights
Quality
In terms of printing parameters, the recommended temperatures (230°c - 250°c for the nozzle and 70°c - 80°c for the bed) worked... Read More
Good quality filament both for thickness and durability.
Once it reaches about 180c, start pushing down on the filament to squish it into the hotend to capture anything left in there.
The filament arrives dried for 24 hours before being vacuum-sealed with desiccants in a nylon bag to prevent moisture absorption.
Price
It seemed like a good price and was a good quality product.
I would recommend this petg, the transparent green version at least, to anyone looking for easy to print and inexpensive petg.
Packaging/appearance
Thanks for responding to the packaging issue.
I appreciate the attention to detail in the packaging as well.
Competitiveness
My clog was gone after this and it seems to do a better job than when i've used pla or petg in the past.
The price is lower than some of the more mainstream brands, yet the print quality i've gotten from the petg is beyond them.
The novamaker worked with bambu's (arguably too aggressive) stock profile without any additional tuning.
This will be my go to brand for tpu.
