I do not know if it works on fingernails but a fingernail i have that is permanently split down the middle when it got into a fight with a hammer is a bit thicker and does not separate so easilyi do not have to keep fingernail polish on it constantly to help hold it together but i still have to be careful with it

If you are thinking of using biotin you should check with your doctor first as it does more than help hair growth biotin is also in the hair skin and nails vitamins along with a bunch of other gunk i was allergic to those
