It charges both devices flawlessly. The magnetic cover that folds down doesn't stay that way, and tends to flatten out. It only works to protect the tablet screen.

In this position, the speakers face downward, and their sound is directed straight into whatever surface i'm using at the time.
A one-star deduction, then, for this design flaw that mars an otherwise great fire hd8 plus case.

A pretty good deal for the price.
While i do feel that the case is a bit more expensive than necessary, it is a great product.

In fact, better than the kindle we bought it for.
It is similar to the original one i got several years ago, but better.
