Since the wiring was already in place i just wanted a unit that was similar to the original

We replaced our homes original 1964 doorbell not because it stopped working but because the cover was so ugly stained we wanted an update

The one we replaced it with lasted a couple of years before it started getting stuck with a constant hum instead of the doorbell

Really all i needed was the black plastic piece with doorbell that sits under the cover and i felt like i was doomed that they were all going to be the same base from every manufacturer cheaply made in china with the same getting stuck issue

It fits perfectly and i did not need to upgrade any wiring or add anything it just worked
