Just let m share this with you i opened the package took out the two piecesthe bell and the inside unitplugged the unit into my outlet inside went out on the porch took the adhesive strip and applied it to the back of the bell unit pressed it really well between my thumb and finger then attached it to the door jamb with some pressure
