Without a ceiling crawlspace there is no way to run wires to the wall switch without doing some major cutting frustrating fishingyou name itjust an unusual situation i have in an older home

My old remote would not work after a while so i discovered i could clean the circuit board and underside of the keys with alcohol

Works fine but note that there are not programable dipswitches on ceiling fan receiver as the picture at the time i purchased show

They are only on the remote itself

I bought one these in may and worked like charm and bought another in sept and didnt work
