Pros

The temp readings update quickly and are accurate. Temperature probe plugs into unit with a mini plug so it can be easily replaced. There is also a temperature graph feature that will let you see the temperature profile for your monitored item.

Cons

It disconnects from the phone constantly regardless of distance. Counterclockwise turn with a flathead screwdriver, and it literally just squeals like a pig and doesn't come off.

I am very impressed with the unit itself and the app is well designed.

The temp is displayed on the app and i watched it rise up and then an alarm went off indicating the steak was done.

It won’t shut up until you kill the timer.

Price

At this price it is hard to beat!

And the price is amazing for how much effort it saves now that i’ve gained the confidence to know it is accurate and won’t let me forget.

I can't believe it was reasonably priced!

Competitiveness

I also tested the accuracy of the temperature readings and they were spot on in comparison to a thermal infrared gun.

I already own an older version of this product, which i liked a lot, and this new one is even better.

The apple app was much better but not perfect.

I did not check the temperature range but i would suspect it is somewhere around 160 based on the different options in the app.
