Highlights
Quality
Great iron supplement in medium-sized, easy to swallow capsules, 25 mg.
These iron capsules are easy to swallow and leave no aftertaste behind.
Pros:quality ingredientseasy to swallowcons:funky taste to the capsule
The pills themselves are odorless, tasteless, and easy to swallow.
Price
Good value for a substantial iron dosage.
This product is10 dollars for 120 capsules and for the ferrous sulfate is 7 dollars for 120 pills.
00 for a three month supply is a great deal.
The price seems very good if you only have to take 1 a day--this bottle is a 4-month supply.
Shipping
Impressive expiration date: good for about two and a half years from the date they were delivered.
Packaging/appearance
Well packaged - perhaps a bit too well packaged: i had a bit of trouble opening the seal, and finally just broke it with a butter knife.
Competitiveness
I have used other nutricost supplements, so feel good about this brand.
I noticed that this product only contains 25mg of iron, compared to my current product which contains 65mg.
Also, it isn't that much more expensive.
I did find one study that showed that 25mg of bisglycinate seemed to work equally as well as 50mg of ferrous sulfate for iron deficiency.
