After looking in loews and home depot and other stores, found this. The alabaster is beautiful and the brass is striking. Now the kitchen is nicely illuminated, pretty pendant fixture.

You have some assembly, but it was very simple to do.
It did require the addition of a male cord end (a little solder, shrink wrap and repurposed cord end), and i added an inline switch.

I think id like to see an option for a pull string switched socket
