I got fed up with having to clone nvme disks with software every time i need to upgrade computers to bigger disks

I do it often enough that i decided id just get a hardware cloner

When it arrived i had a laptop i planned to move from a 1tb drive to a 2tb drive so immediately gave it a try

I aborted the copy and checked the target disk and indeed it had only copied a few hundred mb

I figured the cloner failed so went to clone in software instead but that failed with a few files reporting semaphore failures

The disk hadnt reported an issues prior to that point but to be sure i cloned a different nvme disk and that successfully cloned before i returned to check on it half an hour later
