From here i ran standard 34 to my water pipes and like wise from the other end to my washer

The valves are well made with 14turn ball valves so they are not only reliable but easy to turn onoff which is a plus in the confined space recessed in the wall behind the washer

The washer drain hose should have a flexible end on it that you bend into a u shape and insert down into the center hole and into the 2 abs below

It sounds like the above reviewer was trying to insert the drain pipe up through the hole and into the enclosure this is not necessary as described above

I personally like a 2 drain as it will have the least likelihood of overflowing or backflooding during heavy draining periods but most washers recommend a 1
