We installed a grated drain in a sink that doesnt have an overflow and due to the grate being flat water went down slowly because there was no air to help balance it out even though the drain line was vented

Must be installed after the trap and must be at least 2 pipe diameters away from the trap weir the last bend in the trap where the water in the trap ends

Black vents are rated 1 duf suitable for 1 sink they fail frequently and they stick in open position when they fail letting sewer gas into home
