I recently reread it, and it stands the test of time quite well. Yes, the book has a significant libertarian *, but just because you don't like it's politics doesn't make it a bad book.
Cons
Main sci-fi trope in ‘oath of fealty’ is the presence of ‘implants’ in the brains of some of the more senior technocrats. It's all freakin' boring.
