The information is well presented and is attention grabbing. I like to skim and pick the pages that interest me at that moment. The language is college level and i'm grateful, although we can't understand everything.

These smithsonian and dk books are an absolute boon to families. In my opinion, they're the grownup version of the traditional dk books.

Beautiful hardcover. Wonderfull book. My grandson loves this book. This book is awesome.

Cons

All text is too small to read unless the screen is enlarged so much as to lose perspective. This is truly unfortunate. It requires a computer monitor to do anything but look at pictures.

Each page is bursting with high quality imagery and is a mix of photographs, illustration and historic graphic reproductions.

Visually the pages are a treat and the graphics take front and center in this volume and the textual portions are kept to a minimum.

Price

They are infinitely affordable and are outstanding for engaging children in the arts and sciences!

This book was way too expensive and mine came with a broken spine.

But that is ok because this book is worth every penny for the visuals.

Shipping

I highly recommend this book to anyone thats fascinated by the ocean, it came fast and it’s wonderful quality.

I believe the damage is happening during shipping.

Unfortunately, i did not know how else to mention that amazon shipping keeps on sending me books that are damaged.

They do not package/wrap the book, the box is too big for the book and the corners are always damaged especially on my hard back books.

It is packed with pictures and illustrations.
