Pros & Cons
Pros
Florida is a formidable place when it comes to rain. They aren't the most amazing tarp poles, but i haven't managed to break them despite pitting them against the elements. Used with a 16ft noah's tarp.
They’re very easy to use and impressively strong too. Held up very well despite the gusts. Great product and lightweight.
They are in 3 sections shock corded together with plenty of elastic tension. Extend high enough to stand under comfortably. My only other complaint is that they can be hard to collapse after being used but that's nothing that a little silicone wd40 on... Read More
Cons
There was slight bowing in the poles due to uneven ground / angles. Within one week of use, 2 poles are out of commission and they cost me the tarp, which wasn't cheap.
Cheap non-hardened metal. Made in china. Over-tight bungy requires screw to be tight to hold in place. Tight screw on extender puts holes in pole.
Highlights
Quality
The height adjustment doesn't slip and the poles are very sturdy.
Very easy to set up and they performed well tied down correctly.
Poles held strong through 9 days at windy burning man holding aluminet shade cloth.
Put them in a flag pole holder and you will have something that will not bend with a strong wind.
Price
Not a cheap price by china standards but also good quality.
Shipping
It was a 2-part shipment, luckily it was items that water was ok.
Packaging/appearance
Looked like rain when i left, got 2 inches of rain while i was away, and box was soaked when i got home.
Competitiveness
I typically use a three 3 pole setup in combination with orange screw stakes and the trucker's hitch knot.
