Very impressed with the craftsmanship with this overflow.
This box easily keeps up with the flow and could take more no problem.
The only caveat other than build quality is probably capacity.
All in all very happy with the unit.
Price
It would have gotten 5 stars from me if it came with a lid but for the price i can’t complain.
Competitiveness
I have this box on my 60g reef with a 55g sump with a return pump running at 400gph at its head height.
Half the price of the competitors and works as good if not better.
The unit is advertised as being able to be hooked up to a powerhead to prevent airlock (it does) - plus #4.
The seller recommends a powerhead (see below) to correct this.

Shortly after the flow stops the unit airlocks and stops draining as it should at the level it is set at

If this is due to a power failure and the power comes back on there could be a flooding issue

It didnt arrive broken and it does not leak nor did i have to seal it

Im not sure if this seller gets ones that didnt pass qc or what but the one i got didnt hold water initially

That is it held water but not a siphon because the lower chambers clear divider wasnt glued down on over half the bottom

The only problem with that is that the flow is low enough that a lot of waste gets trapped in the lower chamber of the siphon because the water pressure doesnt force it up over the lip into the drain compartment
