The reason i give it only four stars is because it is actually a yellowy color almost a light mustard with lots of brown specks

Given that it is bamboo that is not really surprising but the picture looks ivory and that is what i thought the pail would look like

The container is attractivea matte pale gold colorand has not cracked or chipped or shown any other sign of wear

I like this much better than what i was formerly using for a compost pain but fruit flies are still a problem

My main reason for writing this review is to correctcomment on a flaw called out in previous reviews reviews that almost kept me from purchasing it
