Pros

This is my first beam scale for reloading. The newer 5 0 5's are lighter, which is certainly so for cost cutting. It’s more accurate than the digital scale i have used for years.

The scale is very sensitive and the base feels sturdy. Once set up it measures consistently and as long as it's maintained well, it is a breeze to use. I was impressed with the scale purchase from beginning to end.

Cons

The "self aligning agate bearings" are two pieces of plastic with a rough v grove cut into them, sitting (jammed) into poorly machined slots. The damper vane is sloppily glued onto the beam. The scale appears to have never been zeroed at factory.

Whereas the ohaus main beam is in 10gr increment with the minor beam has two riders the first in 1gr increments and the second in 0.

Price

Would be much better if it was physically twice the size but then the price would probably double as well.

Competitiveness

Great scale, like it better than rcbs

Gets the thumbs up and it's better than the rcbs m500 that i gave up on.

Tried a rcbs but the pointer is more difficult to read and the main beam scale is in 5gr increments with the minor rider 0.

Tested it out and it's just as good as my old rcbs 10-10 and my rcbs 5-0-5.
