Pros

The weighing plate is less than ideal without a tare bar, but it gets the job done. The weights move smoothly on the beams and the pointer comes to rest quickly. It is worth every penny we spent because it is durable and accurate.

Cons

The scale works while being defective. There is no way (besides destructive disassembly) to get access to the bolt. It was glued down.
