I had planned to install the door handle first and drill a hole for the deadbolt later

I hadnt noticed that this set only has a lock on the deadbolt so i cant install the nonlocking handle until i get the right sized hole saw for the deadbolt

However i question if i prefer a rounded style lock base better then this squared off style of base because unlike a round base which is traditional installed in a round door cutout the squared off base requires the top and bottom locks as well as any other straight lines on the door to be perfectly symmetrical or else the eye will notice it like youd notice a crooked wall painting

One other small detail that went unnoticed at the time of purchase is that the dead bolt is the only locking fixture

The handle doesnt have any locking mechanism so youll rely on the deadbolt only to provide security
