Pros
This is important because clay soils trap iron andmaples need a lot of iron. This definitelytakes some amount of effort but is manageable without falling down. Just enjoy yourself and walk in lines like you where mowing the lawn.
Cons
Spikes are so thin that aeration with these is really not aeration. Horrible for your back, and knees. Not a one size fits all either. About broke my ankle falling off of them.

The steps you take will definitely be more up and down and may take getting used to

For the harder spots in the yard i took slower steps and came down with my foot a bit harder

I wasn’t as methodical as some might be but i made sure to try to space my path across and back somewhat neatly so the holes would be evenly spaced
