The rubbermaid mat has spaces between the plastic slats. This allows the soapy water to drain and not accumulate to get moldy.
It has really good suction cups to tray put. Suction cups keep it from slipping in the shower.
Cons
It's both slippery to stand on and it won't stay in place while showers, it slides. It slip's in the tub and i have a problem with it.

Now rubbermaid makes safe bathtub mats which is why i had always bought their mats but they build mold fast like abby steiner before the bone spur
